Florentina joined The Merit Club in March 2021 and quickly fell in love with the events and trips. Sharing a passion for adventure, culture and exploring the map with our travel organisers, she soon jumped at the chance to start hosting experiences for our members. She loves discovering hidden gems, trying new things, and bringing people together. Organised, decisive and brilliantly oriented, she can have fun anywhere — from sea to mountains, spas to clubs, opera to rock and roll, black-tie scallops to jeans and tacos.

This is an evening made for curious minds. We start at Morocco Bound, a charming independent bookshop on a quiet street in Bermondsey — the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, browse every shelf, and leave with a book you were not expecting to find. Supporting independent bookshops like this is something we love to do together.
After browsing, we will walk to a nearby wine bar to continue the conversation over a glass or two. Books and wine have a wonderful way of opening up the kind of conversations you do not get anywhere else — about what you are reading, what inspires you, what you have been thinking about lately. It is the perfect Friday evening for women who love a good story and even better company.
If you are the kind of person who can happily lose an hour in a bookshop or loves discovering hidden gems in London’s neighbourhoods, this one is for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Meet outside Morocco Bound bookshop, 1a Morocco Street, Bermondsey, at 7pm. We will browse together before walking to a nearby wine bar for the rest of the evening. Each guest pays individually for drinks.
Please note, your host will not be able to wait for latecomers, so do arrive on time.
