She is dedicated to women's empowerment and well-being, with keen interests in personal growth, mindful living, meditation and yoga, as well as food and design. We are spending a November Sunday with one of the most influential women in modern art. Peggy Guggenheim in London at the Royal Academy of Arts revisits the years she spent in the city, when she opened her Cork Street gallery and introduced London to artists who would go on to change the course of twentieth century art.
It is a wonderful exhibition for anyone who enjoys a story as much as the art itself, full of the risks she took and the artists she backed long before anyone else did. Afterwards we will walk over to Soho for a long lunch together.
If you love art, good conversation and a Sunday that runs from morning into the afternoon, this one is for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will meet at 10:30am in the Annenberg Courtyard at the Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BD, by the statue in the middle of the courtyard, and go in together for our 10:40am exhibition slot.
We will take our time through the exhibition, then walk to Mildreds Soho, where we have a table booked from 12pm.
Your ticket covers your exhibition entry. Everyone covers the cost of their own food and drinks at lunch.
Please note, your host will not be able to wait for latecomers, so do arrive on time.
