Kew Gardens is hosting the largest ever outdoor presentation of works by Henry Moore, and we are going to see it together. Thirty monumental sculptures are placed across Kew’s landscapes and botanical collections, in dialogue with the trees and glasshouses around them, alongside an indoor exhibition at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery with more than ninety of his smaller works, drawings and sketchbooks.

There is something lovely about wandering a garden with art around every corner. You drift, you stop, you point things out to each other, and the conversation takes care of itself.

If you love art, beautiful surroundings and a Sunday afternoon that feels like a proper day out, this one is for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We will meet at 3:45pm outside the Victoria Gate entrance to Kew Gardens, Kew, Richmond, TW9 3AE, and go in together for 4pm.

We will walk the sculpture trail through the Gardens at an easy pace and visit the gallery exhibition.

Your ticket covers your entry to Kew Gardens, which includes the Henry Moore exhibition. Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be outdoors for most of the afternoon.

Please note, your host will not be able to wait for latecomers, so do arrive on time.
