Living in London can sometimes feel a bit too urban—but luckily, peaceful nature is never too far away. If you’re craving a break from the city, join us for a refreshing walk along the Oak Trail in Epping Forest. It’s the perfect way to unwind and get a dose of greenery.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Epping Forest Oak Trail is a 10.2 km long walk that takes around 3 hours, so it’s really easy going. Epping Forest is an ancient woodland with areas of grassland and wetland within it. It is also one of only three Special Areas for Conservation in London, so it’s a gorgeous place to visit. In total, Epping Forest is 6,000 acres in size making it the largest public open space within London. That means it’s perfect to go walking and hardly come across any other people.
We will meet up at the station, then have a leisurely stroll around the trail, and we might even reward ourselves with a cake or two in the nearby coffee shop.
We will meet outside of Theydon Bois underground station at 2pm and wait 15 minutes for everyone to arrive, however if you are late please just try to catch up with us on the trail.
