Each year, London usually hosts a number of city-wide Easter egg hunts and installations — however, this year we haven’t been able to find a confirmed large-scale version taking place.
Rather than cancel, we’ve decided to keep the spirit of the event and shape our own version of it — a playful, social walk through the city with light prompts, moments of discovery, and a chance to explore together in a slightly different way.
So while this may look a little different from a traditional “egg hunt”, the essence remains the same — movement, conversation, and a fun way to spend time together over Easter.
We’re heading out on a city-wide Easter Egg Hunt adventure, using a fun interactive app that creates a route across London where we’ll track down beautifully designed eggs hidden throughout the city.
Think part treasure hunt, part sightseeing, part “why don’t we do fun things like this more often?”
This is a playful, light-hearted event – perfect for reconnecting with your inner child while exploring London in a slightly different way. Expect movement, laughter, and lots of “wait, is that one?!” moments.
We’ll meet at 2:00pm outside the main entrance of Somerset House (by the large courtyard gates on Strand) — a central, easy-to-find landmark and a great starting point for exploring.
We’ll wait around 15–20 minutes for everyone to arrive and download/open the app, then set off together.
The app will guide us through a walking route around central London, where we’ll hunt for decorative Easter eggs placed around the city. There’s no strict pace — we’ll keep it social and flexible, stopping for photos, chats, and maybe even a coffee along the way.
Please wear comfortable shoes, as we’ll be walking quite a bit. If the weather turns, we can adjust the route or stop somewhere cosy.
A joyful, slightly silly, very London way to spend a day together.
