WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS TRIP
from £1480
£1280
We’ve frozen the prices at last year’s rate until September – after that, they’ll be going up!
This trip is for women only, open to non-members as well.
We cannot wait to host our next Winter edition of the Merit Trips, a week full of skiing, some ice skating, maybe dog sledging, hot chocolates, sauna, outdoor spas and more.
We are going back to the wonderful Chamonix Valley at the foot of Mont Blanc, a place which is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious areas in France and we have found the perfect chalet for us for a week of wintery fun!
We will spend 6 nights in a cosy chalet, 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. The chalet features a huge open plan living room with central log fireplace, a jacuzzi, a huge garden and a sundeck.
You will be looked after from the moment you arrive in Geneva/Chamonix until the moment you leave. We can help new comers arrange to start the week with an instructor and upon request we can drive the group to and from the slopes of Brevent or Flegere.
A delicious cooked/continental breakfast is included in the morning and afternoon tea and cakes after skiing will be waiting for you.
The chalet is superbly equipped with free wi-fi throughout, a cinema room with UK channels and Netflix/Prime/Disney and a high end audio system. In the living room they have a big fire place and most importantly this area leads through french doors to the 8 seater Jacuzzi on the decking outside with stunning views of the French Alps, perfect for an evening dip after a long day of skiing.
It will be a week to do skiing/ snowboarding, but this is also one of the top resorts for other winter activities that you can also check out! (just in case you are not so keen on skiing) . We will for sure take part in dog sledging on one of the days and also spend some time in QC Terme a beautiful spa overlooking the mountains.
So if you’ve been wanting to go on a ski trip but weren’t sure who to go with or simply want to treat yourself to an amazing week spent with other lovely women, we hope you can join us!!
Chamonix is considered by many to be the best freeride resort in the world and hosted the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924. With its 5 ski resorts (Grands Montets, Les Houches, Le Tour/Balme, La Flegere and Le Brevent) Chamonix Mont-Blanc offers the perfect ski holiday.
The 150km area is relatively small compared to others in the country, but its range of challenging terrain and red and black runs is unbeatable for experienced skiers. The ultimate must-do is the 20km Vallée Blanche, one of the most famous off-piste routes in the world. If you’re more of an intermediate, explore the blues around Le Tour, Les Houches and Brévent-Flégère.
The cosmopolitan town has drawn visitors from all over the world since the 18th century. Wander along the pedestrianised streets to admire Art Deco and Art Nouveau architecture – like the grand casino and popular La Terrasse bar – in among the Savoyard buildings and speciality sports shops. And the nightlife here is not to be missed, whether you want live music at Chambre Neuf, fancy dress at Le Pub or a late-night cocktail at Bar du Moulin.
This is also one of the top resorts for other activities, with everything from spas to ice caves. For incredible views, head up to the Aiguille du Midi viewing platform. And if you dare, you can also experience Step into the Void, a glass box that hangs over the side of the mountain at 3,842m high.
March and April is perfect for skiing here, the days are sunnier and lifts stay open later. Most resorts have high-altitude slopes over 1,800m and widespread snowmaking, so snow cover is usually reliable whenever you go.

additional activities
Nati has become a member of The Merit Club in 2020 and Krisztina and her connected instantly! Since then they have organised multiple events together and after Nati has spent 3 months in Saint Lucia, exploring everything that the island has to offer, she approached Krisztina with the idea to bring a group of members back and use the experiences and connections she has made.
One would say ‘the rest is history’ but after they planned and hosted that amazing, week long trip for 18 women in Saint Lucia, they decided that they want to continue to collaborate on planning exciting experiences for members and take women to the most exciting parts of the world!
They are now on a mission to find exotic and unique stays while creating a safe environment in the group for solo female travellers and most of all making sure they negotiate the most affordable rates for members!
You can follow them on @krisztina_tardos and @nati_tarjanyi and see what they are up to

Will we try to get the same flight?
You are welcome to get any flight you would like to, however our transfer from Geneva will pick ladies up at or around 1pm. If you decide to arrive later and there are other ladies who also do then we can potentially organise another transfer for you, otherwise you can use the local Chamonix transfer companies like Swiss Tour. We will organise a zoom call with the group so we can discuss any questions you have and also create a Whatsapp group for us too around 6 weeks before the trip.
Would the Resort Transfer include both to the ski slopes and the town? Does everyone have to go at the exact same time or is it possible to arrange separately if needed?
We offer morning resort transfers to Brevent or Flegere for the group and it would be important to coordinate so everyone leaves at the same time. There’s also the Number 2 bus only 5 minutes walk from the chalet which can take you to Le Tour if you fancy trying a new area. We can of course give you private taxi numbers as well as details on the public transportation, which is pretty reliable in Chamonix and it’s free with your ski pass.
With regards to the food, Will there be some balanced options or ability to submit any dietary requests?
Yes, it is possible to submit dietary requirements in advance. There is always options to choose from for everyone. Apart from the usual morning pastries, last year there was either muesli, bircher muesli, porridge available and other days we had eggs and grilled tomatoes and mushrooms as well. There was always fruit and natural yoghurt on the table, and different kind of milk alternatives.
You are however also welcome to use the kitchen in the chalet if you choose to eat in or prepare your own food.
Are there Restaurants around?
Chamonix has a phenomenal range of over 170 restaurants across the town and mountain, one of the largest selections in the world. As you’d expect, every type of cuisine, atmosphere and budget is catered for – so whether you’re after hearty Savoyard specialities or fresh international fare, you’ll always find somewhere new to try. We will also put together a list of restaurants we recommend and share with everyone who is attending.
Will there be snow?
March and April are the ideal months for skiing in Chamonix. The town at 1,000 meters enjoys pleasant warmth, while the slopes at 2,000 meters stay beautifully snowy without the harsh cold. Plus, the sunnier days and extended lift hours make it even more enjoyable. Just picture yourself gliding down the slopes with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc!
Do I need to be a skier?
No absolutely not. Neither Nati nor Krisztina were skiers when we started hosting these trips! There will be instructors you can hire if you would like to take a few lessons, so many ladies will do the same! You can also do other wintery activities outside of skiing and the area has lots to offer.
Can you share more about the ski equipments and lift passes?
Passes
The Chamonix Valley offers a choice of 2 lift passes, the LePass or the Unlimited. The Chamonix Le Pass covers the whole Chamonix Valley including Brevent, Flegere, Grands Montets and Le Tour. The only lifts not covered are the Aiguille De Midi cable car (which gives access to the Valley Blanche Glacier), the Montenvers Train, and Les Houches a small family ski area at the beginning of the valley which can be good when it’s snowing heavily as there are some good tree runs. All these areas are included in the more expensive Unlimited pass. The Unlimited Pass also includes Courmayeur the Italian resort 30 minutes away through the Mt Blanc Tunnel. Courmayeur offers some incredible skiing and great lunches!
You can upgrade your pass at any time during your stay by simply paying the difference. For more details and prices please see the Compagne du Mt Blanc website here – https://www.montblancnaturalresort.com/en/chamonix-lepass and https://www.montblancnaturalresort.com/en/montblanc-unlimited
Equipment Hire
For the ski hire we recommend Local CHX, where we secured 30% discount on their standard prices. The equipment can either be brought to the chalet for fitting or they can take you to the shop in town. www.localchx.com/shop/themeritclub
Lessons
If you are interested in lessons then we can recommend Evolution 2 for private and groups lessons – https://widget.yoplanning.com/public/13493/
If you have any more questions, please feel free to email us on travel@themeritclub.com and we can even set up a call with you to discuss.
Each day begins with a delicious cooked breakfast to fuel up for skiing. Afterward, we will head to the slopes—our transfer will take us to Brevent or Flegere, where you can choose to ski with an instructor or explore at your own pace. In the afternoon, enjoy a lovely tea with snacks and unwind in the chalet’s jacuzzi. In the evening, we’ll either gather in town for some melted cheese and wine or relax by the fire in the cozy chalet.
