As part of our International Women’s Day series, join us for a late-morning cultural outing to the Empowering Her exhibition in Chelsea — a celebration of female strength, creativity, and expression. This exhibition shines a light on women’s stories through art, offering a thoughtful and uplifting experience that naturally sparks reflection and conversation.
We may also have the opportunity to meet the artist, making this visit feel even more special — a chance to hear directly about the inspiration, process, and stories behind the work
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Empowering Her is a powerful portrait exhibition by artist Caroline de Peyrecave, centred on women’s visibility, influence, and lived experience. The work brings to light the stories of women who have overcome barriers, defied expectations, and shaped culture, leadership, science, activism, and public life in Britain.
Through large-scale, finely rendered portraits, the exhibition reclaims space in portraiture for women’s stories to be seen and honoured with dignity, presence, and respect — highlighting the importance of representation and challenging whose narratives are traditionally celebrated in art.
If we have the opportunity to connect with the artist on the day, it will be a wonderful chance to hear firsthand about her creative process, the inspiration behind Empowering Her, and the message she hopes the work leaves with viewers.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll meet from 11:00am and explore the exhibition together at a relaxed pace, taking time to take in the artwork and share thoughts as we go. If the artist is available, there may be an informal opportunity to say hello and ask questions.
Afterwards, those who wish can stay on a little longer to chat or grab a coffee nearby, keeping the morning easy, social, and unhurried.
A thoughtful, inspiring way to connect through art — and celebrate the power of women’s voices together.
